About me

I am currently a Research Scientist on the Responsible AI team at Meta (formerly Facebook). I recently defended my Ph.D. in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Stanford University, where I was fortunate enough to be advised by Johan Ugander and Christopher Manning. I previously obtained my B.S. and M.S. in the Department of Computer Science at Stanford where I was advised by Stephen Boyd.

I am broadly interested in the the intersections of artificial intelligence, policy, and law, and am passionate about connecting my work with social impact. As part of my doctoral research, my colleagues and I won a lawsuit against the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, where we argued for the greater data transparency necessary for our research. We worked with legislators and non-profit groups to translate our research into impact.
